The Great Obstacle Challenge was an incredible event this past Sunday. There were more than 20 volunteers spread throughout the course filled with twenty obstacles including climbing a cargo net, carrying a log, and flipping tires. This inaugural event drew 56 competitors.
During the planning of event it became apparent to us that the obstacle course was an apt metaphor for what women undergoing treatment go through to overcome obstacles in their life as they work to maintain sobriety. Our clients evaluate each obstacle and determine the best strategies to move past them. The awards for the winning female, male and top teams were created by the clients of the Center to share a vision of personal accomplishments.
Thank you for the amazing competitors and the volunteers. It was truly a moving day.
