2021 Strategic Plan Approved at Board of Directors Meeting – 1/20/2021
Today, the Board of Directors initially approved the Strategic Plan for 2021. This plan includes focus areas as required by the Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities (CARF).

Things Are Looking a Lot Brighter – 2/15/2020
We want to send a huge THANK YOU to IBEW 38 and the Greater Cleveland Chapter of the National Electrical Contractors Association (NECA). They have generously donated $35,000 to the Women’s Recovery Center for lighting installation for the perimeter of our parking lot.
Grand Opening Celebrating Building Renovation – 1/30/2020
Women’s Recovery Center (WRC) celebrated its Grand (re) Opening and the culmination of the #RebuildingLives Capital Campaign.
The Women’s Recovery Center today announced that Mary Jane Chichester, Executive Director, will depart from the organization as of June 14, 2019. A search for a new Executive Director will be conducted.
Painting Recovery: One Stroke at a Time – 5/16/2018
On Saturday, May 19th from 10am – 2pm, the Women’s Recovery Center located at 6209 Storer Avenue in Cleveland will be painting and decorating to welcome clients into the newly renovated addiction treatment facility as well as a couple of exterior projects thanks to the help of Because I Said I Would – Cleveland.
Celebrating 30 Years of Rebuilding Lives – 3/25/2017
The Women’s Recovery Center is hosting the Miracles of Recovery Breakfast presented by Risk International at the Aloft Cleveland Hotel Restaurant on the East Bank of the Flats on Thursday, April 27th beginning at 7:30 a.m. – 9 a.m.. Dr. Joan Papp, Emergency Room Physician at the MetroHealth System will be the first recipient of the Champion of Recovery Award.
The Women’s Recovery Center is hosting our Ground Breaking Ceremony on Wednesday, August 31st beginning at 5:00 p.m. located at 6209 Storer Avenue in Cleveland. Following construction, the Center will double our capacity to provide outpatient alcohol and other drug treatment services for women and their families.
Dr. Pepper Snapple (DPS) and national non-profit KaBOOM! awarded the Women’s Recovery Center a $13,200 Let’s Play Improvement Grant to use toward the purchase of an Imagination Playground in a Cart™, an innovative playground equipment system.The grant, which will allow the Women’s Recovery Center to install the system at the Center located at 6209 Storer Avenue, as part of Let’s Play, a community partnership led by Dr Pepper Snapple to get kids and families active nationwide. Imagination Playground in a Cart™ is an innovative design in play equipment that encourages creativity, communication, and collaboration in play. With a collection of custom-designed, oversized blue foam parts, Imagination PlaygroundTM provides a changing array of elements that allow children to turn their playground into a space constantly built and re-built by their imagination.
