In reflecting on the 29th annual run, jane, run, we celebrated a new event, the great obstacle course challenge at Euphoria and completed the sports festival at Coppertop Cherokee Hills with the women’s golf tournament. Although on Friday we had to dodge a few thunderstorms, the tournament began with a shotgun start. Deb Hennessy’s foursome Chipsters found visitors in their golf cart. They were not, however, allowed to credit themselves with two birdies on the hole.

Congratulations to the Risk International foursome for their first place award of the First Flight. This was the first year that Risk International fielded a golf foursome. Ernst & Young lead by the Center’s Treasurer, Maureen Wood, received the first place award in the Second Flight, and the KeyBanc Capital Markets foursome lead by Angie Mastantuono was awarded first place for the Third Flight.

Thank you to the corporate sponsors of the 29th annual run, jane, run. Thank you to the Golf Committee Members for their work and dedication to plan and host a successful event. Barbara Kaminsky, Carol Grubb and Angie Mastantuono have co-chaired the Committee for 27 years. Members of the Committee include Deb Hennessy, Karen Janes, Bev Jones, Kathy McGrath, C.J. Petroff, D.D.S., Darlene Piatak, and Amanda Primozi. The overall success of this annual event is a credit to the support of the participants and volunteers. Thank you for your continued support.
