The 23rd annual run,jane,run kicked off on Friday August 12th with a women’s golf tournament at Briarwood Golf Course. The weather was perfect for the 28 golf foursomes that were competing. Barbara Kaminsky, Carol Grubb and Angie Mastantuono served as the co-Chairs of the event. The Committee Members included: C.J. Petroff DDS, Deb Hennessy, Karen Janes, Kathy McGrath and Darlene Piatak.
For the third consecutive year, the Charles Schwab golf foursome won the First Flight with the score of 63. The foursome members included Karen Janes, Captain, Carole Campbell, Karla Caton and Jodi Kest.
The Flight II was the KeyBanc Capital Markets I foursome consisting of Team Captain, Angie Mastantuono, Lillian Faust, Mary Anne Hallal and Darlene Piatak. Their score was 68.
Flight III was won by first time competitors of run,jane,run , First American Title Insurance. The foursome led by Amy Whitacre shot a 70.
Sunday, August 14th set some records for rainfall in and around the Cleveland. There were more than 150 hearty souls that braved the weather to run and compete in the final day of the competition. The results of the 1ok run are:
Margaret McGervey was the overall female competitor in the 10k with the time of 42:30. Mike Piper was the overall male competitor with the time of 40:23.
