Darrell Basham Racing challenged drivers in the ARCA/ReMaxx Series to a Race-a-Thon to benefit the Women’s Center of Greater Cleveland on October 12, 2008.  The race was broadcast live on SpeedTV from the Toledo Speedway.  This was the last race of the ARCA/Re Max Series for 2008.  The Women’s Center staffed a booth at the Fan Fest activities.

Darrell Basham’s # 34 Chevrolet displayed a decal with the web address for the Women’s Center of Greater Cleveland and successfully   raise funds and awareness of the impact of addiction for women and their families.  The racing team will be accepted donations for every lap that was completed of the 200 lap event.  After hitting debris in the 78th lap, the #34 car was retired to the pit stop.

“If someone sees this and contacts the Women’s Center for help and they are able to mend some of life’s troubles, that is what we are hoping to happen,” says the Henryville Indiana Driver.

Donations and ARCA/ReMaxx Series challenges may be made directly to the Women’s Center of Greater Cleveland at 6209 Storer Avenue, Cleveland OH 44102.
